Treatment Areas
Our physiotherapists at Vitalise Physiotherapy are qualified to assist patients in the following areas of treatment:
Acute and chronic pain
Patients who are suffering from acute or chronic pain in their shoulder, neck, back, legs, pelvis, hip or other areas of the body are encouraged to book an appointment at Vitalise Physiotherapy. Our physiotherapists will aim to diagnose the cause of your pain and recommend the suitable treatment and self-management strategies.
Pre and postoperative conditioning
The road to recovery starts before you go in for surgery. Our pre-op rehabilitation program will aim to reduce pain and swelling and have an easier time regaining mobility after an operation. We combine the strategy with post-op rehabilitation, which is useful for patients who have had operations on their spine, ankle, foot, neck, hand, wrist, shoulder, knee or hip.
Sports Injuries
Whether you have suffered a contact or non-contact injury playing sport, book a session with our physiotherapists. We will assess the severity of your injury and create a personalised program of treatment, rehabilitation and self-management.
Headaches
Chronic headaches and migraines can become debilitating, rendering you unable to function at work or in your leisure time. We aim to diagnose the triggers for your headaches and come up with a plan to reduce their impact or eliminate them.
Pelvic floor and bladder dysfunction
If you are experiencing incontinence, difficulty urinating, constipation, pelvic pain or pain during intercourse, our pelvic pain and bladder dysfunction treatment is recommended.
Vertigo (BPPV)
Dizziness, while sitting, lying down or getting up, can severely impact your life. Our team will aim to determine the cause of your vertigo and recommend treatment.
Frozen Shoulder
When your shoulder is stiff, painful and limited in its motion, our frozen shoulder treatment is a way to uncover the cause of the condition and treat it. There are three stages of frozen shoulder: freezing, frozen and thawing. Each stage may last from 6 weeks to 9 months. Our physios can help maintain available range and strength during the process.
TMJ jaw issues
The Temporomandibular Joint is one of the most frequently used joints in the body. It works when you are talking, breathing, chewing or expressing your emotions. TMJ pain is challenging to diagnose and treat, which is why our clinic is the place for you to get the help you need.
Muscle Energy
The muscle energy technique is a manual therapy that uses the energy from your muscles to relax them, help improve flexibility and bring strength back to injured areas.
Pregnancy and postnatal care
Biochemical dysfunction in children and adults
Biomechanical injuries in children and adults can include muscle strains, ligament sprains, fractures, Achilles tendon injuries and other severe problems. We use the latest techniques coupled with our expertise to help diagnose, treat and manage these conditions.
Thermoplastic splint/fiberglass casting
A thermoplastic splint or fibreglass casting is used to immobilise and help protect injured limbs that have fractures, sprains and strains. It’s ideal if you’ve suffered a sports or similar injury.
